What’s your favorite part of working at a local, community-focused bank?
Banking isn’t just about numbers—it’s about people. I love getting to know our customers, understanding their financial goals, and helping them find solutions that truly fit their needs. Whether it’s guiding someone through their first home loan or supporting a small business owner, I take pride in being part of their financial journey. Building trust and relationships within the community is what makes this work so meaningful.
Given your expertise, what key piece of financial advice would you give to someone today?
I always emphasize the importance of starting early with financial literacy. Teaching kids about money from a young age sets them up for long-term success. With small children, something as simple as learning the value of coins can be a great first step. For high school students, I recommend creating a hands-on budgeting exercise—give them a pretend job, an income, and expenses, and let them see how much they have left at the end of the month. These small lessons can have a big impact.

I met my wife while working at a previous bank! We started as coworkers, fell in love, and now share a passion for scuba diving. We’ve had the incredible opportunity to dive all over the Caribbean, from Mexico to the Bahamas, exploring vibrant coral reefs and marine life together.
