What’s your favorite part of working at a local, community-focused bank?

I value the opportunity to interact with customers on a personal level and help them achieve their dreams. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that, through our services, we can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. We have all the skills and technological advancements that national banks have, but we provide a more approachable, personalized experience without intimidation. Whether it’s supporting a family’s home purchase, helping a small business grow, or simply providing financial guidance, the ability to assist people in fulfilling their goals is what makes this work so fulfilling.

Given your expertise, what key piece of financial advice would you give to someone today?

Failure is only failure if you give up. We live in a country that provides everyone the opportunity to fulfill their dreams, no matter what they are. So many people don’t think they have what it takes to start a business. My question for them is, “Why not you?”  Success is fueled by the drive to take the next step—and the one after that.

I’m an avid hunter and fisherman, and I used to be a drummer—music is a big part of my life. Another thing I’m known for is my cooking, particularly my venison parmesan, which is always a hit.
